Designed to meet ANSI/UL1449 3rd Edition requirements. 

This particular whole house surge protector includes 6 modes of protection and is recommended for residential and light commercial applications. It is intended for installation on 120/240 volt AC panels. The IG1240RC3 incorporates the newest developments in MOV technology and provides individual component thermal protection and monitoring. When a single component fails the LED indicator will show "OFF" and automatically switch its alarm indicator to "ON". The [All Mode] protection set-up offers specific protection pathways between each conductor along the electrical pathway. If installed on main panels with a common neutral-ground bus or line-to-neutral and line-toground protective circuits are paralleled for redundancy and maximum current capability.
